High Pointe Golf Club F.O.R.E Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) that is supported by Members of High Pointe Golf Club.

F.O.R.E stands for “Friends of Rod and Eileen” named in honor of our Founder’s parents. Both Rod and Eileen Trump passed in 2019 and inspired a purpose driven life in their only son. Giving back through golf is at the center of that purpose. This foundation was created in 2025 as a vehicle for our club to give back to those around us in Northern Michigan.

Our MissionThe High Pointe Golf Club FORE Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of local veterans, junior golfers, and young people employed at our club, through scholarships and exposure to golf’s strong values and traditions.

The Foundation, among other charitable acts, funds two scholarships for our college bound team members.

The Muller Scholarships: An annual scholarship named in honor of the late Fred M. Muller, PGA is given to college bound high achieving team members. These recipients are selected based on their impact in their role at our club, their impact on the local community, and their commitment to furthering their education. The scholarship accrues value based on seasons of service to the club and years of school ahead. Fred Muller, the longtime Crystal Downs pro and “father of Northern Michigan” golf gave back to the game in a way that we can all look up to.

The Lewis Scholarship: An annual scholarship named in honor of the late Brian Lewis. A longtime publishing partner to our architect and partner Tom Doak, Brian was a Traverse City local who loved the game and loved sharing the stories that come with a life spent around golf.

Our 2025 Muller Scholarship recipients are:

Belle Keely - University of Michigan

Andrew Soos - John Carroll University

John Hawkins - Michigan State University

Brogan Danbrook - Michigan State University

Ben Wolff - St. Francis HS Senior

Our mission includes both Veterans and junior golf. The F.O.R.E Foundation will create initiatives in the future for access, events, and will support resources for learning the game right here in Northern Michigan.
